Get ready for Wednesday 28 Feb 2024 from 10am as Banh Mi Stand - Melbourne at 547 Flinders Lane, Melbourne will be serving up free banh mi and Vietnamese coffee when doors open at 10am. Limit of one banh mi and a Vietnamese coffee per person for the first 200 people only. First come first served, so get in early. This is going to be a one-day-only bespoke Banh Mi Bonanza menu that takes inspiration from Vietnam Airlines' key destinations to and from Melbourne, including Paris, London, Frankfurt and Delhi. **To celebrate the Banh Mi Bonanza, Vietnam Airlines is offering special promo fares from Melbourne to destinations in Europe and India. The French-inspired banh mi comes filled with duck confit and orange plum sauce, the German banh mi takes pork sausage and salted cabbage and adds a touch of crunchy chilli, while London is represented with a banh mi that takes its cues from the classic British Sunday roast, teaming rare roast beef with onion jam. Turmeric cauliflower and kasundi add subcontinental flair to the Indian banh mi while an OG Vietnamese banh mi is filled with Hanoi cha com, a pork and rice mix, served on Hai Phong pate. All this washed down with a delicious free Vietnamese iced coffee for a perfect mid-week lunch. I'm already salivating.
