Even though I have been practising yoga for a while, I decided to start with the Foundation Yoga class first. This class focuses on the principles and technique Yoga including breath work, correct posture, yoga sequences and relaxation. This class is perfect for beginners, but good for all levels wanting to make sure their form and technique is OK.
When I walked into VIDA Yoga I was warmly greeted, and I felt right at home. The place, while simply appointed, is calming and clean.
Once I decided on what I was doing, made my purchase etc, I was guided upstairs to a beautiful yoga room-cum-dance studio (VIDA also offers dance classes). There are places to put your belongings (in eyes view), water coolers and mats to use (however, I opted to bring my own).

Don't be put off with it being on Ipswich Road. As you first settle in to the class, yes you hear the trucks. However (as is meant to happen with yoga) you soon distance yourself from the noise, and find yourself in tranquil bliss. I promise! Just focus on your breathing.

I had my first experience with Bronwyn and she was delightful. She really paid individual attention to everyone to make sure form and technique was spot on.
I have since tried the Relax Yoga with Sheila, which was also amazing, with great pace and nice deep stretches.

Next on my list to try is the Power Yoga: this one really appeals to me, and over the next fortnight I plan on trying the three different instructors who take the Power Class. I'm really looking forward to it.
