If you're right into beaches, sand, surf and surf life saving, then be sure to head down to Ocean Grove Main Beach on the 28th and 29th March 2015, for the Victorian Life Saving Championships.

In March, lifesavers from around Victoria will meet at Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club to compete for State Glory.

Some of the events at this Championship will include Surf Boats, ironman / ironwoman events, Surf Race, Surf Board Race and Surf Ski races. There will also be beach / land based events including a 2km run, flags and springs.

About Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club

The Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club has multiple State Titles to their name in the sport of surfboat racing. The Ocean Grove SLSC always strive to get the best out of each other, and they have a lot of fun along the way.

During the upcoming summer season, the Ocean Grove SLSC will be competing at all the local Surf Life Saving Victoria and NAVY Series carnivals along the eastern seaboard of Victoria.

The 2014 / 2015 season ends with the Victorian State Championships at Ocean Grove on the 28th and 29th March. There will also be an event held at Tugan, the Gold Coast for the Australian Championships, from the 13th to the 19th of April.

This weekend of surf life saviing championships promises to be a fantastic weekend. Entry is free for spectators. I hope you can make it to Ocean Grove beach to watch this awesome weekend of surfing competitions. Bring your bathers and have a dip in the waves. This event is proudly supported by the City of Greater Geelong.
