Hidden Faces at the Pan Pacific Melbourne , (Lobby area) 2 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf runs from 3 June to 3 October 2019 and it's open all day every day, FREE of charge. An exhibition of portraits by Victorian artists, you'll find an array of exciting, diverse, witty and experimental artworks at an event that is a great addition, and now well established on the Melbourne Arts Calendar.

This exhibition is filled with portraits that were originally submitted for a number of national portrait prizes like Doug Moran, Portia Geach, Shirley Hannan, MAMA Albury, Archibald & Black Swan; but were either not hung in the official exhibitions or have not been shown in Melbourne. This is your chance to experience the talent of our Victorian artists, exclusively at Pan Pacific Melbourne.

With a broad spectrum of entertaining, challenging and insightful paintings, you'll find well-known subjects such as performers - Marta Dusseldorp, Ezekiel Ox, Jeff Martin, Lindy Morrison & Julia Baird; sport icons - paralympian, Kat Ross & Nathan Lyon; artists - Victor Majzner and Christopher Seater; author Rosalie Ham, director Fred Schepisi, professors Damien Kingsbury & Jenny Hocking and more.

In its 18th year, there's always something new and different to experience. These outstanding works are by Raelene Sharp, Hung Fu, Jacquie Blight, John Mandich, Vicki Sullivan, Ron Penrose, Todd Simpson, Janne Kearney, Peter Ferrier, Lisa Wang, Jim van Geet & Steve May, to name a few.

This exhibition presented by OzLink Entertainment in association with Pan Pacifice Melbourne follows in the long tradition of the French Impressionists of the 1860s who held a breakaway exhibition from the French Academy. The inaugural Salon des Refusés, held in 1863 by command of Napoleon III, included works by acclaimed artists Edmund Manet, Camille Pissarro and Paul Cezanne. Big steps to follow indeed and these talented Melbourne artists do it well.

Visit the exhibition and participate in The People's Choice Award, with prizes provided by Pan Pacific Melbourne.
