The 2014 season of the Victorian Roller Derby League (VRDL) launches with a stellar season opener event on Sunday 23rd February, 2014

The derby action will kick off at Darebin Community Sports Stadium in Reservoir at 3pm; first up will be the Dead Ringer Rosies taking on the Dolls Of Hazzard, while the second stoush will see the Rock Mobsters going head to head with the Toxic Avengers.

These two exciting matches are sure to delight fans!

Victorian Roller Derby League events are family-friendly, with children under the age of 5 receiving free entry. The current online ticket prices (through Brown Paper Tickets) are as follows*:

Adults: $15

Concession (Health Care Card and Pensioner Card holders only. Student cards will not be accepted): $12

Children (6yrs to 15yrs): $10

Family (2 Adults & 2 Kids): $40

Tickets will also be available at the door on the event night but may be priced slightly dearer; to pre-purchase your ticket - simply head to the Brown Paper Tickets website.

On arrival at Darebin Community Sports Stadium, patrons will be welcomed in the GRAB room (which will open at 2:15 pm). Here you can enjoy beverage from the onsite bar and peruse the team merchandise before taking your seat around the main derby track or in the grandstand seats.

Free parking will be available onsite and the event venue is accessible via Yarra Trams line #86 (Docklands to Bundoora), Stop 57 (RDSC, Gremel Rd).
