Public Record Office Victoria and the National Archives of Australia are holding a 'Dig the Archives' open day at the Victorian Archives Centre on 17 May from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

You will get the opportunity to explore behind the scenes look at some of the rare treats and treasures of the archives. There will be an Auslan tour for the deaf at 10.30am.

There will be a series of informative talks on offer including Adam Ford from ABC's "Who's Been Sleeping In My House?", true-crime author and journalist Russell Robinson and caring for your collection with a professional conservator. All events are free and can be booked online.

A special display of Aboriginal records will be showcased.
