Kadina is the largest town in the Yorke Peninsula and is located approximately 144 kilometres north-northwest of Adelaide.
In the heart of the town opposite the Town Hall is Victoria Square with many facilities. This special place not only celebrates the history of the town but incorporates a park, playground and other features.
First, there is the town's war memorial arch, with names of servicemen and women on the pillars who served in the World Wars. Not far is a beautiful historic rotunda.
On display in the park is a RX Locomotive used from 1915 to 1967. There are steps to climb aboard this vintage carriage.
Next to it is a big playground for children. A recently added attraction is a structure called "Walk in the trees", where children can experience "tree top" walks.
A big park with lush lawns, there are picnic tables, sheltered bbq areas and of course toilet facilities.
Victoria Square is a perfect location for family to enjoy a day's outing.
