With over 80 virtual events and experiences, Victoria Nature Festival returns for its second year and will run from 11-26 September 2021. It'll be full of creative ways to connect with and act for nature. Go on a bushwalk, learn from Traditional Owners about Caring for Country, join exciting panel events and take part in citizen science. Sign up and you'll receive Festival news and event updates. Very handy in these uncertain times, to be updated, in case the event gets cancelled.

This festival has something for everyone of all ages, abilities and interests. You can go out and explore the wonders of Victoria's nature or you can connect from the comfort of your own home with live-streamed events and immersive videos. Being in nature is essential to our health and wellbeing, so come along to get connected to Victorian nature.

If you're wondering what the bird and plant illustrations (1st image) are in the branding of this Festival and why it was chosen - be introduced to the Plains-wanderer. They live in the northern grassland plains of Victoria and despite their quail-like appearance, they're distinct and are a critically endangered species. The Festival organisers wanted to ignite people's curiosity with imagery of one of our rarest bird species and help the public learn about the work being done to halt the decline of this beautiful one-of-a-kind bird. wanderer See here to learn more about this species.
