It was a last minute decision to head down to Victor Harbor for a short break over the recent Australia Day long weekend. And, as one would expect, there were almost no vacancies in most of the hotels and motels around the area. The only one we were able to find (and happy with) was Victor Harbor City Inn. Not having stayed there before, we relied only on the reviews of others. However, now, I can say it met all my expectations and beyond.
Victor Harbor City Inn is conveniently located right on the main street of the city. A short walk brings you to many of the local attractions and dining venues. Through its front entrance is the main street and through its back gate is a shopping centre. They have a range of options to choose from - single, twin, double, triple and family rooms - all within a quiet surrounding. Facilities include air-conditioning, heating, tea & coffee, small refrigerator and en-suite.
There's also free parking and free wifi at the accommodation. A dedicated parking bay is available for each room, just in front of your door. Arriving early at approximately 10.30am and having difficulty finding a park around the city, we headed straight toward our accommodation hoping to be able to leave our car there way before check-in time. And, thanks to Karen, we were definitely able to do so!
Do check out their website when considering a trip to Victor Harbor. I would have no hesitation in recommending Victor Harbor City Inn.
