Wakefield Press , South Australia's homegrown publisher, is coming to Victor Harbor on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 January 2017. There will be book sales and author talks at the Victor Harbor Library from 10am to 5pm.
The popular 3-for-2 deal will be on offer. You can buy three books for the price of two (the cheapest book is free).
You can also listen to the following authors as they talk about their books.
1. Lydia Laube will be talking about travelling and her latest book '
From Burma to Myanmar ' on Thursday at 11am.
2. Deb Kandelaars will be talking about her current co-authoring of the Victor Harbor story on Thursday at 1pm. She would like to listen to your stories and look at your photos, postcards, souvenirs and memorabilia. She is interested in anything fascinating or captivating about Victor Harbor. You can bring your original photographs or scans and digital files on a USB. You can also email her at
[email protected] if you can't attend.
3. Helen Bennetts will be talking about almond-related stories and recipes from her book '
Willunga Almonds ' on Friday at 11am.
4. Alastair Sarre will be talking about his writing of thrillers '
Prohibited Zone ' and '
Ecstasy Lake ' on Friday at 1pm.
5. Christine Ellis will be talking about her researching of the Jack Schuster story and '
Silver Lies, Golden Truths ' on Friday at 2pm.
6. Alex Frayne will be talking about his photo book '
Adelaide Noir ' on Friday at 3pm.
