Australia's largest outdoor art show
The 37th annual edition of the award winning Victor Harbor Art Show will be held at Warland Reserve in the centre of Victor Harbor from Friday 15th January to Saturday 23rd January 2015. With coastal views, moderate sea breezes and an engaging and happening holiday community, what better venue could there be for an Art Show in mid-January.

The Rotary Club of Victor Harbor's Annual Art Show continues to grow in strength and popularity and now attracts more than 300 entries from the whole of Australia in addition to the local artists from the Fleurieu Peninsula and Adelaide. The Annual Art Show is now Australia's largest outdoor art exhibition and has sales of artwork in excess of $300,000, over 10,000 people attending the event and in excess of 1,600 paintings on display during the exhibition.
The Art Show is held in an un-missable giant marquee on Warland Reserve during Victor Harbor's peak tourism period thus providing a perfect opportunity for many people to appreciate while either on their holidays or on a day trip from Adelaide.
Over the years, the Victor Harbor Art Show has collected numerous tourism and arts awards, and was most recently inducted into the SA Great Hall of Fame. The outstanding and continual success of the Art Show is attributed to the continuing support of the sponsors, volunteers, artists, The City of Victor Harbor, visitors and the local community.
The Rotary Club of Victor Harbor arrange the Art Show to promotes local and interstate artists and allow them the opportunity to display and sell their art work on a grand stage. In turn, the event enables the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor to raise much needed funds and to inject many thousands of dollars into the local community, to humanitarian projects overseas and to Australian Rotary Health.
Total prize money on offer for the Art Show in 2016 totals $34,500 with the Corporate Award for the "Best of Show" winner receiving $12,500. The Victor Harbor Art Show opens on Friday 15th January from 6.30pm to 9pm, then from 9.30am to 8.30pm on each of the other days. Admission is $6 per person payable at the door with unlimited re-entry with a pass out. Children under 16 years of age are free. Catalogues are available for sale for $3.
And for those who want to avoid the queues, and get first rights to purchase some of the artwork, why not attend the special preview before the general public from 3pm to 6pm Friday 15th January. With tickets strictly limited to 300, these will go quick, as will a number of the artworks. Tickets are available online for $30, including light refreshments and catalogue. The ticket number enables visitors to purchase artworks at the preview night in ticket number order from 4.45pm onwards.
