What do dogs and a film about a heist have to do with each other? By seeing one, you will be supporting the other.

A new, exciting Ocean's Eight film will be screened on the 10th of June as part of the Victorian Dog Rescue Organisation . Whilst based on the same idea as the previous Ocean's films, the difference here is that the heist in New York is organised by eight women. Starring Oscar winner Sandra Bullock in the title role, alongside Oscar winners Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, with Rihanna and Oscar nominee Helena Bonham Carter.



The organisation behind this fund-raising screening is the Victorian Dog Rescue & Resource Group Inc (VicDRG). This not-for-profit organisation has been proactive in animal welfare since 2006. Its goal is to stop the killing in pounds and shelters, to help companion animals in need in the community, and to promote responsible pet ownership. Their ultimate goal is to be no longer needed.

The $30 entry includes a drink and some nibbles. A side benefit will be feeling wonderful about supporting this valuable and worthwhile work of the VicDRG. There will also be merchandise for sale and a raffle for some great prizes.

All proceeds will help Victorian Dog Rescue to help the dogs and cats of Victoria. You can book tickets here .
