Spend the afternoon roaming the streets of Vic Park
The Vic Park Summer Street Party returns in 2018 and will take place over the streets of Vic Park. Organisers have described Victoria Park as an urban village and each year, this suburb seems to grow in popularity, both to live in and to eat in!
This year, the party will be held on Sunday 9th December 2018, and there will be another great series of attractions to suit all ages and tastes. The theme this year is "The Summer of Love".
It is expected that there will be up to 50,000 attending while taking over the Albany Highway cafe strip between midday and 8.00 pm. Albany Highway has many cafes and restaurants and the quality of many of these is amazing. It is a place that I go to regularly and there is always somewhere new to try!
This will be a street party with so much happening, including entertainment and cultural events. These will bring together the entire community with the festival spreading out this year from Dane Street to Sussex Street.
The event will showcase plenty of local talent with the inaugural Vic Park UnEarthed competition, presented by Ben Wyatt MLA. UnEarthed will give local musicians the chance to perform at the festival, as well as having the opportunity to record their work on to vinyl. This will be a live vinyl cut by Perth Vinyl Recording.

The Rhubarb Records Main Stage will be filled with live music to start off our glorious summer. The Rhubarb Records stage area is sponsored by Vision Studios and will feature a bigger bar area than ever, thanks to The Dutch Trading Co. (DTC), who are local craft beer makers.
