A Free Community Celebration for all Ages
Have you ever been to a street festival? If not, it is time you see what these events are all about! They bring people together in a fun, lively and friendly manner, and there is such a commendable atmosphere, with so much to do for the whole family.

If you are a "foodie", then come on down to this street party; if you are a child, then come on down with your parents to this street party; if you love shopping, then come on down to this street party; if you just like to enjoy yourself and mix with other people, then come on down to this street party - you will not regret it!

Each year, there is a street party in Victoria Park and this year is no exception. It always brings a great series of attractions which will suit all ages from children to seniors.

This year, the organisers are hoping to attract about 50,000 people as they take over the Albany Highway cafe strip between Dane and Mint Streets, and up into the Park Centre in East Vic Park.

This event will bring together the community as well as people from many other surrounding suburbs, and this has been labelled as a "culturally diverse" event.

Run by the Vic Park Collective and event organisers UpBeat Events, this street party will bring Vic Park alive with some of the following:

Live music from jazz to Indi Rock to Bollywood

Local performers
Food from local restaurants

Scrumptious food

Pop-up street bars
Kanyana Wildlife
Kids zone of free activities
Face painting

Plus heaps more for kids

Kids just wanna have fun

Weird and wonderful art
Retail therapy with local retailer specials

Roving entertainment
Market stalls

Lots of interesting market stalls

The Vic Park collective describe themselves as "helping make Vic Park uniquely awesome". They are an enthusiastic group of locals who live, work and play around Victoria Park and share a love of this vibrant inner-city suburb.

The group is a collective voice of the neighbourhood and "works to encourage collaborations between businesses, residents and the Town of Victoria Park to make the area uniquely awesome". The Vic Park Collective was the brainchild of two Victoria Park locals, Sarita Leal (who grew up and now owns a business in Vic Park) and Flavia Pardini (who lives and works in the neighbourhood).

Their committee meets monthly and now has more than 400 members, and they work hard to bring exciting events into this up and flourishing neighbourhood.
