Chocolate doesn't ask silly questions Chocolate understands
While walking along the narrow streets of Genoa, I happened to come across what has now become a place I will keep visiting and revisiting as an avid chocolate lover.

Founded in 1866, Romeo Viganotti has been a chocolate workshop that has been perfectly preserved since and uses vintage machinery and moulds to produce their delicious chocolate.

Some of their traditional products include pralines, spicy chocolate delights and blends of milk/dark chocolate.

Viganotti Romeo is a quaint, little chocolatier shop that resides in Chestnut Alley. The interior layout of this shop surprises customers with their intricate use of space for their chocolate-making goodness.

The staff at Viganotti are beyond hospitable and try their hardest to cater best to their customer's needs. I walked in, expecting to make a quick purchase to satisfy my chocolate craving, but ended up spending over an hour at the store, having a lovely conversation with the staff member about the different types of chocolate and even sampling some of their finest chocolatey creations, in hopes of finding "the one".

The range of chocolate delicacies

You can easily lose track of time and feel like you've walked into a beautiful, historical past at this store. It is absolutely awe-inspiring and teleports you away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city life that happens outside the store.

The store has recently been expanded to a cafe-like scene where their new and loyal customers can sip on freshly-brewed coffee.

The flavours you discover at Viganotti will blow your mind. If you think you've tried all the possible forms of chocolate, then prepared to be pleasantly surprised with the variations of delicacies that Viganotti has to offer.
