As of last night, I realised that I am officially one of those people who has a favourite, frequent restaurant. Before this realisation I believed whole heartedly these people only existed on TV shows, or had very deep pockets.

But it seems this Italian Restaurant in Mooloolaba 'Via Italia' has won my heart and my tastebuds. If you value service, and pride of produce, then I simply cannot recommend this quaint and stunningly authentic restaurant anymore.

Via Italia has managed to find a blissful harmony between artfully presented, interesting and delicious flavour combinations and service that makes you feel valued. The menu is creatively written, which I adore, but if anything is too overwhelming don't hesitate to ask the staff, for they know the menu and ingredients inside and out. Indulge your taste buds here, that's a certainty.

And since I am usually accompanied by my boyfriend, who until his experience at this restaurant was never eager to try anything he hadn't already, I can say that there is a variety of food and flavours that will satisfy the biggest eaters to those who love the small and fanciful details of fine cuisine.

While not extravagant in size, Via Italia has created a cosy and beautiful space, featuring an open kitchen and wood fire oven, inside tables, an open bar and coffee lounge and terrace tables that overlook the esplanade. An invitation to sip on a tailored cocktail, knowing the next time you return the wait staff will recognise you? Yes please!

I pride myself on delivering and expecting high quality customer service and without a doubt this place will not let you down. For two people, with a couple of drinks, a shared entrée, two mains and a side expect to pay between $60 and $90 dollars.

By any means, its not cheap, nor is it overpriced: It is a reflection of the quality and essence of Italian food. Please, treat yourselves and buon appetite!
