You will find this paradise of sweet treats at the Level 5 food court at Westfield Sydney. On weekends, this establishment is super busy - especially in the afternoons. All for good reason too. Their sweet treats make you want to salivate, and salivate hard. There goes your diet.
A treat once in a while is okay. Come here for a simple sweet if, and only if you know (deep down) you deserve it. The choice is abundant. Macarons? Coffee? Chocolate? Cake? Petit Fours? What about ice cream? Sounds like they have all sweet delicacies covered.
You might have heard that saying "ice cream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream." If this saying is true to you and you're into the ice cream loving fabric of Sydney, you will be spoilt for choice here, as I was recently.
The decision on what ice cream flavour to pick and enjoy is so hard. Many customers who come to Via Del Corso opt for two different flavours. Of course, you can enjoy those traditional Italian flavours such as Baci. There is also a Kinder Surprise and a Snickers flavour. It was difficult to choose, but it was a good sign that all the flavours were running low.
Have finally made my decision...my ice cream coming up...
After much hesitation, I went for something healthy and yet creamy. The honey and fig pistachio ice cream. Loved the crunchy and small fig and pistachio pieces. It felt like a healthy biscotti. Although the ends melted a bit quickly, you can enjoy the entire ice cream before it melts in the cup. This flavour was sweet, yet not overly sweet in the sweetness department. Five bucks well spent on a simple treat.
