The Verge Cafe can be found about 75 km north of Perth off the Indian Ocean Drive. It is in the Shire of Gingin with an Art Gallery adjacent to it.

Being a particularly stormy day, the Art Gallery was closed, however, the cafe was open - thankfully. On a cold day, such as this, a warm coffee is always a welcome.

The interior was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and menu options were plentiful. Surprisingly, being such a remote cafe, I imagined the prices to be a lot higher, however, I was relieved to find that the pricing was very competitive.

There was a $10.00 purchase limit if using eftpos, which was easy to reach as there were 3 in the car.

I am particularly fussy about coffee and found the coffee to be average but seeing that we were possibly the first customers for the day, I can only assume that the "coffee making mojo" had not kicked in just yet.

The cafe is open during the week from morning until 4 pm. While we did not have the pleasure of trying the foods, which according to their Facebook page looks amazing, it is a destination that would well be worth the stop.

Overall, the experience was pleasant and will be on our radar for future travels north. With a great picnic area and playground next door means this could quite easily be a phenomenal stop point in the Summer.
