A wonderful festival through Feb and March

The big south-east Melbourne suburb of Frankston has a wonderful capacity to deliver great events. For a long time regarded as an outer suburb or separate part of Victoria from Melbourne, today Frankston is very much a part of metropolitan Melbourne's boom, but still retains a unique vibe as a seaside suburb on the edge of the Mornington Peninsula.
That's why events like the Ventana Fiesta 2018 are so great. The event gives residents of Frankston the chance to celebrate all that is wonderful about their suburb and Latin American culture, while also drawing in visitors from afar who want to enjoy a fantastic festival outside the Melbourne CBD.
While each day and event is sure to be fantastic, one of the best things about the Ventana Fiesta is its duration. Launching on February 23 and set to run through all the way to the end of March,
the festival will have a carnival, street food, music and dance, market stalls, and some truly wonderful art exhibitions.
With an especial focus on 'Women in the Arts' displaying local and global artists across this fiesta's exhibitions, this event will also be a wonderful occasion to celebrate achievements and witness thought-provoking pieces that are sure to generate new discussion and debate.
As well as the Fiesta itself being a great event, Frankston also offers so much for those seeking to have a night out or even spend a weekend in it as the gateway to the Penisula. For anybody visiting from further afield for the first time, a trip to Frankston Beach, as well as the Fiesta, is a must.
