An entire market of Gluten Free products will be on offer at the Gluten Free Market Festival from 18 to 19 February 2023 at VEND Marketplace.
Gluten-free excludes any foods that contain gluten, which is a protein found in wheat and several other grains. It generally focuses on whole foods that don't contain gluten, such as fruits, vegetables, meat and eggs, as well as processed gluten-free foods like gluten-free bread or pasta.
The markets will welcome an assortment of food trucks and food stalls selling meals to eat on the spot at the shaded eating area as well as gluten free items you can take home to enjoy later.
There will also be over 130 small, local businesses selling their wared inside the indoor marketplace. The kids will stay amused at the market playground.
A market like this may be particularly appealing to those suffering from Coeliac Disease - An autoimmune reaction to eating gluten which is a protein found in wheat, barley and rye. The Mayo Clinic notes that following a strict gluten-free diet can help manage symptoms and promote intestinal healing for those with the disease.
Research shows that Coeliac disease affects approximately one in 70 Australians, making it one of the most common autoimmune diseases.
The markets run from 8am to 2pm each day. On site parking is available as well as street parking on Yarraman Place with a gate access straight to the venue.
