No drama, karma free, fun food
'Purity of taste removes dust and grime. Roots of vegetables nurture the true spirit.' (The Vegetarian Delight philosophy)
Vegetarian Delight has such a unique flavour and never fails to provide a fun night out. I would recommend this restaurant to meat eaters also. I took my elderly mother and half way though the meal she announced that due to her dentures she couldn't possibly chew the beef. We laughed and reminded her there was no meat in any of the meals along with no alcohol and no egg. This shows how clever the chefs are in creating a vegetarian meal whilst offering an extensive Asian menu.
Finding the restaurant was easy given the radiant energy of this place. Parking was a breeze too.
I loved eating amongst the many decorations in the restaurant and felt at home along with the Buddhist monks and the Indian family eating there that night. My mother had never eaten spring rolls before and was taken with how nourishing they were with their generous filling and size.
Vegetarian Delight uses milk and honey but vegan meals can be requested. This restaurant is open 7 days and I wish very much that they had restaurants in every state. Adelaide is truly fortunate. Takeaway is also available.
They were very happy for me to take these photos but I would really like to learn more and have joined their Facebook page.
I am a vegetarian myself and have become very accustomed to having only 2-3 choices of meals when eating out. The choices are usually vegetarian lasagne, vegetarian risotto or vegetarian pasta, and none of these meals contain much protein, and usually not very tasty. I am surprised given the fabulous vegetarian recipes around these days, and it seems that not many places can be bothered with developing an interesting and balanced vegetarian menu. I am not sure why because there are more and more people not eating meat, or just cutting down on their meat consumption and willing to try vegetarian food. So as a result I just love going to Vegetarian Delights. In fact it can be so difficult to decide what to eat!! So it is a good excuse to go back to try more dishes!!
They do take away too.
I really enjoy their food and friendly customer service.
I highly recommend it.
