1. JAPANESE SUPERFOODS FOR NATURAL WEIGHT LOSS This talk will be held on Tuesday 20 March, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Balmain Library, 370 Darling Street - it is a FREE event.
Here you will learn how Japanese superfoods can help you to lose weight, as well as learn how to include these foods in your everyday meals. There will also be samples of these superfoods for everyone to try.
It will be run by Yoshiko Takeuchi, who is a teacher of healthy vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free cooking. Yoshiko has been teaching for almost 20 years now, both in Japan and Australia, and you can register at the Eventbrite site.
This will be held at 20 Frederick Street, Ourimbah on Saturday 24th February from 9.30 am to 5 pm.
This event will be conducted by Women's Retreat Day with Lauren Horton and Katie Manitsas and will be a whole day of yoga, reflection, relaxation and more. It will be held in a yurt and is just an hour's drive from Sydney.
Focus for this will be "The Elements", and there will be delicious vegan food which will be supplied by Like Minds Cafe in Avoca.

3. SURF AND YOGA DAY
This will be held by Kate Duncan, and will be on 24th February at Cronulla Beach from 7 am to 1 pm.
The programme will start off with beach meditation and yoga warm up and at 8.10 am, there will be a group surf lesson given by the Cronulla Surf Academy, where groups will be divided into levels.
This will be followed by yoga, meditation and group chat, and then at 11.30 am they will serve a vegetarian lunch.

4. HOW TO BE A HEALTHY VEGAN
This will be held at The Source Bulk Foods, Rouse Hill Town Centre, Cnr White Hart Drive & Windsor Road, Rouse Hill. It will be on Tuesday 6th March from 6.30 pm to 8 pm, and it is FREE.
Eating a diet based on plant foods is becoming very popular and in order to make sure that you are getting all the nutrients and vitamins, you need to learn which foods are important. At this workshop, you will learn about vegetarian and vegan meals and it will be hosted by dietician Emily Hardman.

5. SYDNEY VEGAN MARKETS
Sydney Vegan Market is one that highlights the confusion about cruelty-free living. It is a large outdoor market which is on the 3rd Sunday of every month in Marrickville and has all things vegan. From fresh food to homewares to coffee to fashion, you can get it all at these markets.
Situated at 100 Marrickville Road, the next one is on 18th February 2018.
6. FILM AND VEGAN FEAST - THE TRUE COST
This will be held at Margaret Whitlam Recreation Centre, Waverley Oval, Bondi Rd, on 15th February from 7 pm to 9.30 pm.
There will be a plant-based film about the clothes we wear, the people who make them and the impact the industry is having on our world.
The True Cost is an unprecedented project that invites us on an eye-opening journey around the world and into the lives of the many people and places behind our clothes.
The speaker will be Gordon Renouf, co-founder of ethical fashion app Good On You, and he will speak after the film about what citizens and consumers can do and more.
As well as all this, there will be a plant-based, 3-course meal prepared by volunteer cooks. Meet like-minded people and learn how we can transition to a more sustainable Bondi.

7. VEGAN MASTERCLASS
This will be held at 21 Tallows Avenue, Kingscliff, on Friday, 23rd February from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
This will be a fun class where you will learn how to make a large variety of vegan foods that can be prepared with the Thermomix. Some of the things that you will be making include salads, dahl, curry, dips, condiments, cashew cheese, sweet treats and more.
You need not have a Thermomix to attend these classes and you can book at the Eventbrite site.
8. VEGAN LONG LUNCH
This will be on at The Family Hotel, 635 Hunter Street, Newcastle West, on 25th February, from 11 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 3 pm.
There will be a brand new menu and some delectable cocktails. It is a set menu, with a choice of mains and it will be three courses. There will be snacks, falafel bowl, Jackfruit Burger or nachos as a main, with Polenta cake with berry compote as dessert!.
There will also be a cocktail on arrival, and this will cost around $50 and you can make your bookings here.
9. HEALTH BOOSTING MEAT FREE MEALS
This will be held at The Nutrition And Wellbeing Clinic, 80 Cecil Ave, Castle Hill, on Tuesday 6th March from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm and will cost $110.
If you need some inspiration for meat-free meals, this plant-based diet can help save money as well as being healthy. You will be taught fresh ways to make nutritious vegetables and discover how to save time as well.
10. TEMPEH TONIGHT COOKING WORKSHOP
This is another event to be held at the Maker Kitchen, 552 Parramatta Road, Petersham on Wednesday 7th March from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm. The cost is $150.
Tempeh is a low-fat, high-protein food which is very versatile - you can BBQ it using only plant-based ingredients and no soy, put it in a stir-fry, a sandwich and much more.
It will be conducted by tempeh makers, Andie & Dave of Organic Village Tempeh, and you will also learn how to make your own black bean and "forbidden rice tempeh".
This class is ideal for beginners who want to learn how to cook vegan dishes, as well as those wanting to expand their range of cooking with tempeh. You will also take home 3 packets of your own tempeh.
