Take a short day trip to Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula for
The Vegan Dairy Open Day. Held on the second Saturday of every month, The Vegan Dairy opens its doors to the public where you can purchase their vegan artisan cheeses, spreads and butters plus Open Day specials. The Open Day also hosts local vegan makers in a mini-market format so you can sample the latest vegan products the region has to offer. Vendors change monthly and past vendors have included Top Hat Salsa Co., Curiously Cauli, Horribly Healthy and Soulful Vegan Food. Edgar's Mission Vegan For A Day Tour, Saturday 8 May 8.30am to 6.30pm
Edgar's Mission is a not for profit sanctuary for rescued farmed animals that seeks to create a humane and just world for humans and non-humans, located on over 153 acres of peaceful land just outside of Lancefield in the Macedon ranges. Ginger runs Vegan For A Day tours and is holding her Edgar's Mission Vegan For A Day Tour on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. The tour will start with breakfast at One for the Crow in Maidstone. Afterwards, the tour bus will head to Edgar's Mission for a tour of the grounds and the animals who call it home. A late lunch follows at Mr. Macedon. Tickets are $170 per person and includes all food and transport, as well as a mystery vegan box for each guest. Bookings are
