With many people having alternative diets, it's important to know where to source the best tasting and freshest cakes that accommodate everyone. Green Refectory Cafe, 115 Sydney Road Brunswick, not only has a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, but their range of cakes are to be envied.
A daily selection of cakes are available for purchase by the slice, or you can pre-order an entire cake from their extensive cake menu, 12 of which are vegan.
Vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, cakes from Green Refectory
My number one recommendation for a vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free cake that will satisfy any chocoholic, is the chocolate and peanut butter vegan cheesecake. This cake is rich and decadent with a base made of nuts and Medjool dates, a cheesecake filling made of soft nuts, vegan chocolate, and peanut butter, and topped with a chocolate ganache.
Another one to win over any chocoholic is the chocolate tart; with a Medjool date and nut base, dark chocolate filling, and topped with crushed walnuts. If you prefer something light and fruity, choose the raspberry-dust or mango-dust mousse cakes.
All of these cakes taste heavenly so I suggest you buy a slice of each, invite over some friends, share and try all the varieties, and discover your own favourites.
