If you're a vegan, like me, you will be familiar with the idea of giving up some of the foods you love.
Unfortunately, being a former chocoholic...Easter was once the hardest and most depressing time of year for me. That is, until I discovered vegan chocolate that actually tasted...what? nice!!? and not only vegan chocolate, vegan Easter chocolate too?
So to prevent the future suffering of other vegans or dairy free life livers, I thought I would list a few brands that have created sufficient chocolate alternatives.
Number 1: Topping the list we have Sweet William Easter Bunnies. This delicious, sweet and creamy alternative to milk chocolate is the best tasting vegan chocolate I have had to date, and the best part about these are: they are available in your local Coles! (maybe Woolworths too, but my local Woolworths didn't stock them). I ate myself sick eating these this Easter season, in true Easter tradition! You can find these here.
Number 2: If you are into dark chocolate, Lindt dark chocolate Easter bunnies are the way to go. I'm not a big dark chocolate eater, but these accidental vegan treats are a big hit with my dark chocolate loving buddies.
Number 3: Moo Free chocolate is another milk chocolate substitute. Not quite as creamy as the Sweet William, but still an eggcellent alternative. Available also in 'bunnycomb' a honeyless honeycomb chocolate egg; these go down a treat!
The only downside is that you have to purchase these online, so shipping costs will have to be added to the total cost. You can find these here.
I hope I have assisted some of you chocolate loving Vegans in finding the perfect tasting, cruelty free alternative to your addictions.
