It is time for our Daniel's Fast and I need to figure what to put on my family's dining table. I went through my La Canasta bag and I had 3 cucumbers from last week. I have a lot of cornmeal and have been trying to use it up. I heard that people use cornmeal in their deep-fry batter, so I thought this might work. I found some recipes for cornmeal batter, but all of them included eggs and we can't eat eggs during the fast, so I tried it without eggs. It came out surprisingly good, considering I used cucumbers and no eggs. So here it is my recipe for cornmeal-fried cucumbers! Who would have thought!
Okay so...I was fascinated to note you are also doing a Daniel Fast. We are doing a 21 Day Daniel Fast at church. If we want to we can devote the extra time we have to work on developing a closer relationship with Yahweh. The recipe looks interesting - I'll try it here in Sydney NSW Australia as well. GBU.
