The day is broken into two events – Vegan Cheese and Cultured Non-Dairy from 9.30 am to 12:30pm and NEW Cultured Vegan Cheese from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. You can attend just one or both, the choice is yours.
You will be educated in the ancient way of preserving and enriching foods and fermented foods by giving each attendee the knowledge of DIY plant-based cheese. You may have tried to make cheese before and failed, however, Elisabeth has all the tricks and know-how of how to make a cheese that not only tastes good but will be loved by all. Discover your own talents while preparing a perfect cheeseboard for family and guests.
During the morning session, you will learn all the techniques to making cheese and ferments such as Cheddar, Havarti, Brie, Sour cream, Cheese spread and Coco-yoghurt, Vegan butter and cultured buttermilk.
Add Halloumi, Meltable Cheddar, Blue Vein, Camembert, Mozzarella, and rich creamy pasta sauce for the afternoon session and you will be confident and competent in your home kitchens. The course is a mixture of demonstration and hands-on cooking and you will have plenty of opportunities for tasting and talking.
