The Vast Interior store at Kawana Waters is located in the Home Central centre in Kawana, close to Anaconda, Spotlight and Trade Secret. Yet unlike other retailers in the Home Central centre who only offer a shopping experience, Vast Interior provides a delightful dining option as well.
My partner and I recently visited Vast Interior in search of a caffeine hit. Our Saturday morning retail errands had taken their toll, and we were in dire need of refreshments and a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Saturday morning crowds. Although Vast Interiors fronts a busy car park and sees a lot of pedestrian traffic, the cool décor and lush greenery gives the café a Balinese-resort feel. Daybeds scattered with cushions frame the outdoor eating area, and bright fabric lanterns, water features and sculptured pots overflowing with greenery complete the relaxed décor.

The tables are set far enough apart that a pram can be easily manoeuvred through without disturbing other patrons – a factor most parents appreciate, and we had no trouble finding a table even though it was a busy morning.
We ordered a large cappuccino, a large latte and a small juice popper, setting us back just over $11. We were happy to pay this amount, not only for the coffees themselves, but for the opportunity to sit back and savour our beverages in the relaxing environment. While placing our order at the counter I took a few minutes to admire the selections in the cake cabinet, including homemade muffins, chocolate cheesecake and an orange and almond cake. A number of gluten free options were available.
If you were after something more substantial, salads, wraps, lasagna and quiches were on the menu during our visit. Service was efficient and friendly and the coffee was delicious.
Overall, Vast Interior offers a delightful dining option for breakfast and lunch. It's location in Home Central makes it a very accessible option if you are looking to combine dining with some shopping.
