On 26th of January, Shaanxi Performing Troupe will bring their splendid performances to the local audience in Australia, in Nan Tien Temple, showing the glamorous culture and long-history of Shaanxi.

Shaanxi is a northwestern Chinese province whose ancient capital, Xi'an, was a starting point for the Silk Road. Xi'an is home to the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, an archaeological site containing thousands of clay soldiers called the Terracotta Army. In the city centre is the 7-story Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and Shaanxi History Museum, displaying feudal dynasties' relics.

Shaanxi is one of the important cradles of Chinese civilization. It is known as a "natural history museum" because of its profound cultural accumulation and abundant cultural relics. It also shines for its spectacular scenery of beautiful mountains and rivers.
This year The Shaanxi performing troupe is organised by the China Culture Centre in Sydney and the China National Tourist Office in Sydney, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, gathering the outstanding artists from Shaanxi Dance & Song troupe, Shaanxi Acrobatics Troupe and Shaanxi Wushu & Sports Centre. The exciting variety shows consist of song, dance, folk music, acrobatics and martial arts, which are full of strong Shaanxi characteristics and integrate Chinese traditional culture and innovative elements at the same time.

There will be two performances on the day, 12:00 to 12:45 PM and 2:15 to 3:00 PM.
