Relaxed coffee in Cott
A popular haunt among Cottesloe locals, Vans Café is situated on Napoleon Street near the railway and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. I first stumbled across Vans when catching up with a friend and it was the perfect setting to grab a coffee - one of the best coffees I have tasted in Perth, with table service and friendly and efficient staff who are more than happy to help. And the macaroons are divine.
For breakfast Vans offers fresh bircher muesli with rhubarb compote and honey if you feel like something light, but if you prefer a big breakfast I would definitely recommend the potato cake with smoked salmon, a poached egg and served with spinach. As well as other breakfast staples Vans also offers a selection of freshly squeezed juices and delicious coffee.
For lunch or dinner the blue swimmer crab risotto served with zucchini flowers with lemon is fresh and tasty as well as balanced perfectly with a crisp glass of the Rosily Chardonnay. The caramelised pork belly served with Asian coleslaw is mouth-watering and cooked to perfection. Lastly for dessert there is a selection of fresh cakes, the creamy tiramisu or a five spice pudding served with poached pears and ginger ice-cream to end your meal on a sweet note.
