Charles Busch's 1984 play 'Vampire Lesbians of Sodom' is one of the longest running plays in Off-Broadway history.

This critically acclaimed new production by Brevity Theatre was a sell-out at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival earlier this year and is playing at the Club Voltaire in North Melbourne for a strictly limited season as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2015.

Brevity Theatre have added their own unique touch to the classic satire by turning it into a spectacular cabaret! Featuring vaudeville, drag and new original songs written by composer and musical director Matthew Predny, it's a festival show not to be missed!

Vampire Lesbians of Sodom tells the saga of two fatally seductive vampiresses whose paths first collide in ancient Sodom. Their bitter rivalry as bloodsuckers, but more importantly as actresses, endures for two thousand years with stops along the way in 1920s silent movie Hollywood and contemporary Las Vegas.

"The work is remarkably successful, sleekly slipping past the tropes of the Mardi Gras drag show while keeping the traditions and creative excitement alive. Vampire Lesbians of Sodom is a night at the theatre you will not soon forget, and will probably want to attend many times over. Highly recommended." Lisa Thatcher

"A superb piece of nonsense….the performances from this entire cast are tight. This is top class nonsense. Hilarious, high energy and terrific fun." Theatre Red

'Vampire Lesbians of Sodom' will run from 23rd to 29th of September at 8.30pm (approx. 60 minutes).

Tickets are now on sale through the Melbourne Fringe Festival website. Tickets are priced $28 or $24 for concession card holders.
