Valley View Playground

Published November 4th 2012
Tucked away in the corner of Brougham Drive and Pauls Drive, Valley View, the Valley View Playground is a small play area that can still offer a fun a few hours for most younger children.

The highlight of the well-built playground is undoubtedly the flying fox, and I guarantee this will give the adults as much of a workout as the children. Unlike many flying foxes, this one is based around a seat, not a bar or handles to hang from, making it easier to use for even younger children.

With swings and climbing activities and a design that encourages imaginative play, the play area itself is well set out and can accommodate a surprisingly large number of youngsters. It is also set far enough back from the two roads that traffic is only a minor concern.

A table with attached benches gives a nice spot to eat, and this playground can also be used as a springboard to go along the Dry Creek walk, following the waterway in what is an easy but quite nice walk. There is even a large vacant area where other games can be played, away from the equipment.

Well worth checking out if you are in the area.
