Don't let your love run out of steam
Puffing Billy is not just for kids, with a romantic evening taking place aboard the iconic steam train for Valentine's Day.

While Valentine's Day itself falls on a Sunday this year, this event will be taking place on the Saturday night for 'Valentine's Day Eve'.

The Valentine's Day Eve Train is a romantic journey and is a unique way to spoil your loved one.

You will be surrounded by other couples, but will have plenty of privacy with a table for two, taking in the sights of the lush forest outside your windows. A violinist will be playing before and during dinner.

Indulge in a delicious three-course dinner, comprised of modern Australian cuisine. Each patron receives their own dessert, which is not always the case when it comes to Valentine's Day set menus. A glass of beer, wine or soft drink, as well as tea and coffee after dinner, is also included in your ticket price.

The journey departs from Belgrave Station, and stops in Lakeside Station where you will be encouraged to take a walk around the lake, before taking the return journey back to Belgrave. The entire trip, including the stop, will take three hours.

Tickets to the romantic event cost $112 per person, and can be booked here.

Your Comment
The dinner trip looks intersting. I've often thought of it but not got around to it. Emerald Lake is a beautiful place to stop and go for a wander.
