Blanche Dubois will be playing their unique brand of acoustic pop with a Valentine's Day flavour so expect some romantic love song covers, as well as some of their new music. The Begovich sisters of Perth locals and began their music career from humble beginnings in Perth. Their orchestral ballads have gained them acclaim and they have played at venues all over the world.
With a collection of 3 albums and two EPs, Blanche Dubois are signed with one of Australia's largest independent music publisher Mushroom Music these girls are one to watch. With their hauntingly melodic tunes Blanche Dubois encapsulates the essence of the tragic literary character they were named after.
The Ellington Jazz Club is one of my favourite venues and with good reason, located a heartbeat from the city the Ellington delivers live music 7 nights a week. From local acts to internationally acclaimed music artists the eclectic mix means a night at the Ellington is never a bore.
The relaxed atmosphere allows you to embrace the musical performances and the concept behind The Ellington Jazz Club was to bring a small slice of "New York style jazz" to the Perth night scene. This is definitely one of the most romantic spaces I would recommend.
With the laid-back atmosphere, the captivating entertainment and a great selection of tapas and drinks on offer this place it well equipped for any evening. Just a hint I would recommend indulging in one of their amazing espresso martinis. The soft, muted lighting and the intimate setting make this place ideal if you want to pamper your special other half with a unique experience.
