Explore the Urrbrae Wetland on its first open day for 2017
Friends of the Urrbrae Wetland are hosting their first of two open days for this year on Sunday, 9th April 2017, from 1.30pm until 4pm.
Urrbrae Wetland Open Day is family-friendly event - learn about the Urrbrae Wetland through a series of illustrated talks, guided walks, self-guided tours and interactive workshops about the history and function of the Urrbrae Wetland.
Cost of entry is a gold coin donation - meet at the Urrbrae Wetland Learning Centre for illustrated talks and guided tours which will be held every 30 minutes at the following times:
Illustrated talks: 1.40 pm, 2.10 pm and 2.50 pm
Guided tours: 2.00 pm, 2.30 pm and 3.10 pm
If you prefer, take a self-guided walk or participate in the children's trail which will be hosted by Urrbrae Agricultural High School students who will assist younger visitors and families to understand and interact with different aspects of the wetland.
Onsite parking is available - enter at Gate D and park along the private access road.
