Looking for Kangaroo cuddles? Just add Pellets
I have been to Urimbirra Wildlife Park before but was thrilled to have the opportunity/excuse to head back there for a two year old's birthday party recently.

It's located about five minutes before Victor Harbour on the main road from Adelaide it's really easy to find and get to with ample car parking.

It has made me realise that not only is this a great place for the family but it's also fabulous for children's birthday parties. It has the following facilities;

Heaps of undercover chairs and tables
BBQ
Playground
Close proximity toilets to eating area
Safe grass area for kids to run around
Kiosk
Souvenier shop
Plenty of free ranging animals to see and interact with as well as fenced off enclosures
Coin operated rides for the younger ones.

They are also able to provide catering and discounts for group functions.

I must admit that I was a little sceptical of how close I wanted the emus to get to me and had a few kangaroos try to "hug" me when they were on to the fact I had some pellets for them ( available at the kiosk for $1) but they were all really gentle and my own two year old son had a ball hand feeding them.

They also have a few different farm animals as well as interactive displays where you can pat the koalas or touch a snake.

Daily they run:
Koala shows at 11am, 2pm and 4pm
Snake Shows at 4pm

Koala Show where you can pat the Koalas as they munch on the Eucalypt leaves

Entry costs are:
Adults $12.00
Children $6.00

I also love that walking through the park is a bit like a farm experience. There is heaps of space and the paths are stroller friendly when your kids get tired of walking.

I would recommend this place for anything from a family visit, birthday party or mother's group meet up for a relaxing and affordable day out.
