Fun and fashion in Newstead
Urban Jungle Studios in Newstead is a newcomer to the Brisbane creative scene. They have studio spaces catering to art, dance, music, music production, video production and of course, photography.
Every Thursday night they run their Jungle Photo Club sessions open to photographers of all levels.

Each week has its own theme: Week 1 is up to the in-house stylist, Week 2 is a Female fashion shoot, Week 3 is a Male Fashion shoot and Week 4 is focussed on post processing (no shoot on week 4).
Club shoots cater for photographers of all skill levels, from newbies to those experienced with studio shoots. The emphasis is on fun and learning and I found the group to be very supportive and easy to get along with.
For each of the fashion shoots Jack, the in-house stylist will choose the theme and the model, and is very happy to assist you in directing the model and ensuring you get the best possible images.
At the Jungle Club Sessions, each photographer will have the opportunity to shoot two sets of images with a change of outfit for the model, and a change of the set in the studio between. This is a great opportunity to practice portraits in a studio setting, complete with studio lights and modifiers.
