You are invited to come along to the Uraidla Sustainability Fair
at Uraidla Showgrounds on Sunday the 19th of March 2023. This year, Professor Andy Lowe will be back as the keynote speaker discussing all things water. He will have the knowledgeable Mellissa Bradley, Eira Thorstensson, Janet Klein and Shaun Kennedy joining him on the panel. Together, they are passionate about delivering water-smart solutions.
You'll have the opportunity to chat with local people and ask as many questions as you want. The Sustainable Conversations
program will include topics such as sausage-making, wicking beds, birds and solar panels among others. You'll also be able to check out a range of electric vehicles and e-bikes as well as stalls with sustainable wares.
When you're feeling peckish, food vendors will be ready to serve up some delicious eats. You can expect sourdough pizzas from Moongarden, dumplings from Bonnie's Vegan Van, the world's fifth-best vegan food (according to Lonely Planet) from Staazi & Co and more. The kids will have a ball too with roaming native wildlife, play equipment and a huge sand pile.
Tickets are $5 per adult and bookings can be made online via Humanitix
. Uraidla Showgrounds is located at 86 Swamp Road in Uraidla. For more information, please head to their Facebook page
