There are very few places in Adelaide where I feel welcome enough to not only dine in their exquisite presence and enjoy their delicacies, but also sit around and bask in the sunshine while completing some university assignments and/or other writing tasks.
UR Caffe is definitely one of these places - I can spend my whole morning there and I'd still feel welcome like any customer who freshly walks in.
UR Caffe is a quaint, rustic-style cafe that resides in the heart of Melbourne Street in North Adelaide.
Upon walking into the Caffe, I instantly fell in love with the warmth from the sunshine that was emanating through the main entrance and lighting up the room with freshness and bliss all round.

The decor is very open and there are tables by the ceiling-high windows which you should try and seat yourself by if you're lucky and able to do so. I was fortunate enough to visit this pretty, little cafe when the clientele was still building up for the day.

My friend had been raving about this drink before we had even got into the car to head to UR Caffe, so, of course I was looking forward to the legendary Tangelo - a latte served with an orange peel. I think it's safe to say that the Tangelo is a drink to die for - you absolutely must try it if you ever find yourself at the Caffe; whether as part of a meal, or just as a drink by itself. It's got a certain 'zing' to it that is bound to wake you up on a cold, crisp morning.
And yes, that is the mug-sized version of it. I know, I couldn't believe it too.

For my breakfast meal, I opted for the classic option of bacon and eggs. Sure, it's nothing out of the ordinary, but it was a delicious choice of food nonetheless. The bread was toasted to perfection, the bacon had just the right balance of being cooked to a fine crisp and the eggs were poached to my liking.

I was quite impressed with the UR Caffe experience overall - the decor was so cute, with open windows and lots of natural light (something you need to make the breakfast a lot more hearty and enjoyable), the food (scrambled bacon and eggs) was exquisite; both in taste and in presentation, the staff was friendly beyond comprehension and the Tangelo was indeed scrumptious.
