Celebrate, Innovate & Illuminate @ UQ Bloom Festival
Returning this year from Thursday 17th October through to Sunday 27th October 2019, UQ's Bloom Festival 2019 or UQ's unofficial Jacaranda Festival will be held on campus. The Bloom Festival celebrates all thing UQ and highlights innovation and achievements by students throughout the year via a variety of events. This year's festival focuses "Celebrate, Illuminate & Innovate".
Celebrations, arts & crafts, social events, music, projects, installations, walks, food and drink, light displays and jacarandas will be jam-packed into eleven days of festival fun. To kick off the event by invitation only guests will be hosted to "A Brief Overview Long Table Dinner La Vida – Day of the Dead". After this dinner, the festivities began and are open to the wider community, UQ students and staff.
You will have the opportunity to be entertained with musical performances, panel discussions, workshops, art and craft events, light display workshops, some of which will be interactive with the public. Information on all events can be read here.
Just at the Jacaranda is a colourful and fragrant tree with large growing branches stretching outwards, the UQ Bloom Festival 2019 brings you an expansive view of the world, our future and the ability of our youth who will create growth for future generations.
