Did you see the movie "Paper Planes"? It was a wonderful Australian movie starring Sam Worthington, about the young boy who set out to compete at the Tokyo Paper Plane Championships.

The movie inspired a Brisbane family to hold a Paper Plane competition last year, and this year it is hoped to be much bigger.

Folk who wish to enter will pay $5 to enter, but family members/supporters can attend for free. It will be held at Mt Gravatt at The Southern Cross Sports Club (home of the Mt Gravatt Vultures AFL team). Corner of Klumpp and Logan Road Upper Mt Gravatt from 12 noon.

For more information go to the website . You can read the rules and pre-register.

If you wish to learn how to make the best paper plane, this might be helpful. Google Make Paper Planes!

So, leave the iPads, mobile phones etc at home and take the children to Mt Gravatt to play Paper Planes.
