A candid evening of song and conversation with Amanda
Australia has never been short of great voices, whether operatic like Nellie Melba or Joan Sutherland, or versatile like Peter Dawson and June Bronhill, moving efffortlessly from opera to popular and musical theatre.

The number of people who heard Dame Joan perform live reduces each year and so it's as well that we have great performers coming up through the ranks to entertain and astound us.
One of the new crop is the astounding Amanda Harrison, star of We Will Rock You, Les Miserables, the Boy from Oz and Wicked.
Perth hasn't seen much, certainly not enough, of this singer, but now we have the opportunity. She is appearing in cabaret for three shows only Downstairs at The Maj this August in her show Up Close and Reasonably Personal. This is part of the Cabaret Soiree series.
The show is a musical trip through her career larded with candid conversation about her life, love and work. A rare chance to glimpse behind the facade to see the real, intimate woman, mother, wife and diva.
If you would like to see her in action go to YouTube here.
Up Close and Reasonably Personal plays at 7:30pm on Thursday the 28th and Friday the 29th of August with an early show at 6:00pm on Saturday the 30th. Tickets cost $42 and $38 (Concession) and may be obtained in person at a Venue Box office or Ticketek agencies, by ringing 1300 795 012 or online
