Victor Harbor, on the Fleurieu Peninsula, is just an hour's drive from Adelaide in South Australia and is a popular holiday destination all year round.

Recently, I went for a girls weekend away. 2 nights and 3 days away in beautiful Victor Harbor. We stayed at the 5 star luxury Breeze apartments on the waterfront overlooking Granite Island at Victor.

The Breeze apartments are in the premium beachfront spot. The floor to ceiling glass windows that stretch the entire apartment frontage give the most incredible views out to the sea. We sat inside in the warm and watched whales and dolphins play in our front yard, it was incredible!

Our apartment had 3 large bedrooms, the main with a massive ensuite bathroom. The kitchen is ultra modern; with dishwasher, modern cooktop, oven, and lots of fridge and storage space. The decor across the whole apartment is modern, elegant and so very comfortable. The beds were delightful to sleep in. The building has undercover secure carparking and there is a secure video calling system for visitor and callers. We had ducted air conditioning and heating, a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom, plasma TV and even though we didn't use them, there was an X-box and a selection of games.

From our apartment we were within walking distance of Victor's main attractions. A short walk away was the SA Whale Museum where we received friendly and expert advice on where the best whale watching spots were. They supplied us with maps, directions and even some coffee vouchers.

The Granite Island causeway was only a few metres away from our apartment. The heritage listed horse drawn tram starts and ends there and is a must do when visiting the area. Behind our apartment was the grand old Victor Harbor train station where, on weekends and during school holidays, the Cockle Train does the return trip along the coast from Goolwa. A trip to Victor is not complete until you've seen or been on the Cockle Train. We walked from the apartment to the Hotel Victor where we enjoyed a wonderful meal. Nothing beats the convenience of being able to walk to and from the local hot spots.

Our apartment at Breeze was perfectly central for all of the places that we wanted to visit. We were only a few minutes drive from Pt Elliot and Bashams Beach, Petrel Cove and The Bluff .

Breeze's website advertises that a stay in their apartments will make us "relax, experience and enjoy" and we certainly did that. It was an incredibly relaxing and comfortable stay and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Breeze Apartments run by Unwind Holidays . The apartments are all privately owned and therefore the costs can differ between them. A 3 bedroom apartment on the ground floor (with brilliant views and street access) is $240 a night for 6 people. There may be discounts for longer stays or if you travel off peak. The best idea is to give 141329 Kon a call, he's there to help you book your luxury apartment and to make your stay a happy and memorable one.
