Melbourne is a city recognised globally for its for street art. Everyone knows about the laneways and continually changing art creations. But what if street art were done a little bit differently and, even more importantly, would raise money in the process? The Nylex site in Cremorne, with its well-known clock is also one of the recognisable landscapes of inner Melbourne. Now, through a new, exciting event called Untold, the two are combined in a special art festival starting April 21st .

A long time in planning, a year to be exact, Untold Melbourne is an exciting new art event which is turning an unused 3-storey, previously inaccessible to the public, warehouse into an immersive, multi-level urban art experience. The festival is themed around untold stories of people, places, journeys and transformation.

Untold Melbourne will feature the work of 25 of the world's top street artists, including Insa, Anthony Lister, Elle, Ben Eine, Michael Peck and Julian Clavijo . The artworks and their visual stories will bring into focus those hidden, unused, forgotten and surprising spaces of the warehouse and surrounding area. In addition, each artist will create a one-off piece of art to be auctioned at a VIP evening and have a series of prints available for sale.



This ambitious fundraising initiative has been launched by the Caydon Property Group who are involved in developing the Malt District. The themes of the art not only underpin the remarkable work done by the Reach Foundation with young people across Australia, but also reflect and celebrate the unique heritage, fabric and legacy of one of Melbourne's most dynamic locations of The Malt District.
100% of proceeds from each ticket, auction and event will go directly to the Reach Foundation , a not-for-profit organisation started by the late Jim Stynes. Reach helps young people across Australia through a number of programs and the organisation is hoping to raise $1million to help the valuable work the foundation is doing. So why not help them by coming along to see these amazing artworks? They will disappear after the last day of the exhibition.
