I'm so glad this show is coming back for a second season, firstly because I get to write a review but secondly and most importantly, a heck of a lot more people will get to see it!

Starring Kym Valentine (best known for her role as Libby in Neighbours) and Russell Fletcher (popular improv comedian), Unsolicited Male is a brilliantly written, directed and performed show about the complex nature of workplace relationships - the inevitable connections and friendships and that fine line between friendliness and flirting...

Told from four different points of view, the story follows an evening with the boss of an accounting firm and his assistant - as they find themselves sharing a seemingly innocent meal after a later night in the office. BUT one thing leads to another, and before they realise it - things go WAY too far...

Inspired by the #MeToo movement, Unsolicited Male is written by award-winning Australian playwright Ron Elisha and aims to turn the spotlight away from the bright lights and spectacle of Hollywood and to the ordinary lives or regular people where the same issues are playing out, behind closed doors...

The play is raw, intimate and confronting but funny and entertaining too. It asks important questions about traditional gender roles and power dynamics in our world today.

Unsolicited Male is directed by Suzanne Heywood, and also features a talented cast including Gabriella Rose-Carter, Anthony Scundi and Will Atkinson.

Produced by Q44 Theatre - a collective of writers, actors and producers of thought-provoking and accessible theatre. Q44's goal is to make theatre that is intimate, confronting and relatable. We strive to inspire people to laugh more, feel more and think more.

Running from 26 July - 7 August 2022 at Chapel Off Chapel in Prahran, tickets are on sale now - including Opening Night which includes a Q&A with the cast, writer and director.
