Bookings are now opening for Unpacking Unley's Lost Worlds, a brand new school holiday program jointly presented by The City of Unley and SAYarts.

Running between Monday 11th and Friday 15th of January 2016, this unique and creative school holiday workshop series will see children aged between 5 to 15 years learn and develop new creative skills ranging from sound design to stagecraft and visual art to character creation in an engaging and supportive environment.

Over four fun-filled days (Monday 11th to Thursday 15th January 2016) from 10am to 4pm, children will create art and sound installations, performances and experiences for a community creative treasure hunt in and around Unley on Friday 15th January which will run between 10am-12noon, followed by a BYO picnic and activities (12-2pm) on the Village Green in Unley.

This school holiday program will be led by respected theatre-makers and SAYarts favourites Claire Glenn and Anthony Kelly and guest artists, sound designer Tristan Louth-Robins; Visual Artist and maker Bernadette Klavins; Theatre-maker Ashton Malcolm (McNirt Hates Dirt, Trouble and Strife, Othello), Actors Britt Plummer (Eurydice) and Sophia Simmons (AC Arts graduate and emerging playwright) and volunteers from SAYarts.

Over the four days children will be placed into age appropriate groups and allocated to a creative coordinator to create, discover, research and make clues across media such as soundscapes with sound designer Tristan Louth-Robins, outdoor ephemera and artworks with visual artist Bernadette Klavins; plays, puppet shows and "talking books" with Claire Glenn and Anthony Kelly.

This school holiday program is perfect for children who love to explore, make and play and to participate, all they need to do is wear comfortable clothing, including sensible shoes for outdoors, a hat and sunscreen. All required materials will be provided.

Places are strictly limited and early bookings are advised. To make a booking, please visit Trybooking.

The all-inclusive fee is $200 for Current SAYarts students, Unley residents and Health Care Card holders. $300 others.

Participating children should bring lunch, snacks, and drinks with them.
