Danza Viva is proudly presenting the 'ĦUno! ĦDos!' Spanish and Flamenco spectacular at Dolphin Theatre on Saturday 10th of September 2016.
This one-night only event will feature an exuberant showcase of Flamenco and Spanish dance, performed by Danza Viva performers Nicola de la Rosa, Karen Henderson and Intan Oldakowska alongside more than 40 talented Company and Academy dancers.
Audiences will instantly feel the rhythm and rapturous energy of Flamenco with clicking castanets, stamping feet, vibrant swirling costumes and live Flamenco music!
Director Sofia Pratt says: 'I have been privileged to see first-hand how devotion to Flamenco brings people together - whether they are studying recreationally or with a view to joining the professional Company, whether they are young or old, Spanish or not - even when they are from completely different backgrounds. It was watching my littlest dancers gazing with admiration at the 'big girls' who had been my little ones only a short time ago that sparked ĦUno! ĦDos! as an exploration of the relationships born out of shared love of art, the communities they create, and the enduring inspiration they bring to our lives.'
ĦUno! ĦDos! features performers ranging from age 6 to 70 - proof that Flamenco is for anybody who has a true passion for it.
