A garden shop or a suburban block of flats might not be the first place you would think of going for a coffee, but Perth has some out-of-the-ordinary places to go for a bite to eat and they are not as terrible as you might think they'd be.

Here are some places you might want to give a go.

**The 'Pear'fect Pantry
9 Herdsman Parade, Wembley**

After you figure out where to park, head in between the pretty non-descript apartment blocks on Herdsman Parade; you'll find a little gem of a cafe called the Pear'fect Pantry.

Behind the laundry and not far from Herdsman Lake, this place offers plenty of vegan and healthy options which are also super tasty.

**Waldecks Stirling Blue Lotus Cafe
Corner Karrinyup Road and Hamilton Street, Stirling**

This place is loved by parents and gardeners alike.

It offers a lot more than the sausage sizzle that you might have in mind when you think of a nursery/outdoor store.

Making the most of its surroundings, the cafe has an outdoor alfresco area next to a pond and water features.

Fresh herbs are also grown onsite and used in the dishes served at Blue Lotus.

A fully fenced play area and lots of space for prams means it's a great place to bring the littlies.

**Mill Point Caffe
254 Mill Point Road, South Perth**

A coffee and a good book have always been a perfect pair, so it makes sense that this cafe is also a book shop.

Come for the books, stay for the food.
**Get ya fix
1/471 William STreet, Northbridge**

It's a bicycle store and coffee shop in one.

We all know cyclists love their coffee, so it's a pretty sure bet the coffee made here is not an afterthought.

They also have a nice selection of take-away food.

**Bolt Coffee
Corner Stirling Crescent and Amherst Road, Hazelemere**

This one is another cafe in a nursery.

The real focus here is coffee. The place is run by a guy with a passion for roasting and serving the best coffee.

It is a collaboration with Men of the Trees at its St Barbe Grove Nursery in Hazelmere.
