Leave the water polo and tennis teams to the jocks and discover the university's wonderful new sport of Duck Spotting.

This adventurous family has been reportedly spotted near almost every building at UQ. Often straying from home, they enjoy venturing to the water feature outside the Social Sciences and Humanities Library.

The critters that inhabit The University of Queensland's notorious lake are the most intriguing creatures to sit and observe. Turtles, eels, lizards, and snakes can also be found within this thriving ecosystem. Amusing and often callous, the ducks are sure to brighten your day as you make that 8am struggle to class. If you have the time, sit down and observe their day-to-day life as it will undoubtedly entertain you.

A word of the wise: Beware of the goose.

A protective and rather vicious creature, be sure not to get too close as you will either be nipped or have your lunch stolen from you. Don't believe that you can run from him either as he will undeniably find you.
