Because Artists Deserve to Be Paid Too
One of the most difficult things about being an emerging artist is bringing in enough income to support your passion and love of art making. It's a tricky, tough and rarely taken path that can leave you questioning whether your dream is worth your time and money. However, being a painter and sculptor myself, nothing comes close to that feeling I get when I'm doing something that I love. Having studied a Bachelor of Visual Arts at UniSA, this event really deserves a mention. These students have been slaving away all year, creating art works and spending ridiculous amounts of time and money on their studies. Unlike a 'conventional' degree, Visual Arts students are sacrificing their own funds for their passion, leaving the course with an uncertainty as to whether they will succeed in the Arts world upon completion of their degree. In saying this, it's their passion for Art that enables them to continue, persevere and oppose the common 9-5 work grind.
